This ministry provides the music at all of the weekend Masses and Holy Days of Obligation.

Mission

The Liturgical Music Ministry of St. Luke Parish seeks to enrich and deepen the prayer experience of the parish by providing hymns and songs, Mass settings and psalms that lead the congregation to a full, conscious, and active participation in the prayer of the Mass.

Volunteer Opportunities

Musicians of all kinds - singers, guitarist and bass are needed at all of the Masses.

Pianists are in great demand.

Sound Support Ministry - people who can run the sound board during the Masses.

Training

Bring whatever degree of training you have and we’ll work with it - the more the better. There may be an occasional workshop or seminar for enrichment, but there is not much formal training. There are weekly rehearsals for the groups. For sound support, there are a few training sessions to familiarize volunteers with the board and the art of sound support.

Time Commitment

Two to three hours per week, which includes a rehearsal and the Mass. For holidays and feast days, more rehearsal time may be needed.
