Bereavement Committee of the Saint Luke's Women's Society
This ministry is truly a labor of love at a difficult time for family members who have lost a loved one.
The coordinator of the Bereavement Ministry is contacted when there is a death in our Parish family to let them know if the family would like a meal served following the funeral service.
A telephone committee within this ministry contacts parishioners for donations of vegetables, salads, and desserts. This committee consists of four groups with each group being assigned one quarter per year.
Another committee, also divided into four groups with each group being assigned one quarter per year, serves the family, cleans the kitchen and distributes the leftovers.
The Bereavement Ministry consists of volunteers who are members of the St. Luke Women’s Society.
Those involved in the Bereavement ministry meet monthly with the Women’s Society of St. Luke.
